The effort spawned several multi platinum selling hits including “Don’t Cha,” “Buttons,” and “Stickwitu.” The group, which originally debuted as six member powerhouse, became a global phenomenon after charting at number 1 across several countries and massive global tours that sold out months in advance. The group then released Doll Domination in 2008, spawning hits like “When I Grow Up,” “I Hate This Part.” and “Jai Ho.”
Rapper Lil Kim found immense success in the late 90s with her debut album Hardcore. The effort sold five million copies worldwide. Her follow up effort The Notorious K.I.M. did even better as it hit number 1 on the Top Hip-Hop Albums chart and sold over five million copies. Lil Kim became one of the most successful rappers in the late 90s and early 2000s era selling a total of 15 million copies. In 2001, she released “Lady Marmalade,” with Pink, Mya, and Christina Aguilera. The single went number 1 in several countries and secured Lil Kim her first Grammy win.
Sensational R&B singer-songwriter Mya rose to prominence with hits like “Case of the Ex” and “Free,” which were featured in her sophomore album Fear of Flying. Mya also won a Grammy for her 2001 collaboration single, “Lady Marmalade.” This 2026, Mya released her latest album Retrospect.
