American singer, songwriter, actress and fashion designer Gwen Stefani first began her music career in 1991 as co-founder and lead vocalist of the ska band No Doubt. Her solo career kicked off with 2004's Love. Angel. Music. Baby, her first studio album, which debuted on the US Billboard 200 albums chart at number seven, selling 309,000 copies in its first week. A commercial success, L.A.M.B reached multi-platinum status in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada. Stefani was nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "What You Waiting For?" at the 2005 Grammy Awards, and at the next year's awards, she received five nominations for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. 2006 also saw Stefani release her second studio album The Sweet Escape. To date, she has won three Grammy Awards, and as a solo artist, she has received several accolades, including a World Music Award, an American Music Award, a Brit Award, and two Billboard Music Awards. Including her work with No Doubt, Stefani has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. Her third solo album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, was released on March 18, 2016.
