Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe Award-winning musician David Byrne will be continuing his American Utopia tour this year, coming BB&T Pavilion on Friday 27th July 2018! The Talking heads singer will be joined for the show by special guest support act Sylvan Esso! Famed for his fantastical and eccentric shows, Byrne has exciting things planned:

Best known as the founding member, principal songwriter, and lead singer and guitarist of the American new wave band Talking Heads, Scottish-American musician David Byrne first began his career in the mid-1970s. Talking Heads was active from 1975-1991, and was lauded as a pioneer of the New Wave movement, becoming known for hits like "Psycho Killer", "Life During Wartime", and "Once in a Lifetime" (all three of these singles were included among The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. After the band broke up, Byrne went on to embark on a successful career as a solo musician, and he has also been involved in a variety of media over the years, including film, photography, opera, fiction and non-fiction. Byrne has Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globe awards to his name and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
