This summer, nu-metal giant Korn and rock sensation Evanescence join forces and embark on a co-headlining tour that kicks off in August. The 18-city trek will have the two Grammy Award-winning icons traverse across the United States and make a noteworthy stop at Camden, New Jersey! Korn and Evanescence had fans on their toes when they first posted cryptic messages and mysterious videos on social media regarding their upcoming tour. In early April, both bands announced that they were going on a co-headlining tour together. “We’re looking forward to going on tour this summer and bringing our friends, Evanescence, out,” Jonathan Davis of Korn said during a statement. He then continued that Amy Lee of Evanescence often visited their shows in the past. “Whenever Amy comes to one of our shows, I always love seeing her on the side of the stage, watching the whole set and rocking out. We’re gonna have a great time on this tour, and we can’t wait to see you there.”
Korn is a two-time Grammy Award-winning metal band that rose to fame in the late ‘90s with the release of their third album, Follow the Leader. The five-time platinum record peaked at number 1 on the Billboard 200 albums. The album features the band’s most successful singles, “Freak on a Leash” and “Got the Life.” The music video for “Freak on a Leash” won an MTV Video Music Award and a Grammy Award in 2000.
Meanwhile, Evanescence is a commercially-successful rock band best known for their massive hit, “Bring Me To Life.” The two-time Grammy Award-winning band has sold more than 17 million records worldwide. Their debut album, Fallen, peaked at number 1 in eight countries, including the United States.
