XPoNential Festival: Beck & Band of Horses at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion

Experience boundless music styles at the XPoNential Festival. The 2014 line-up headlined by Beck & Band of Horses comes to Susquehanna Bank Center on Sunday 27th July 2014.

“The XPoNential Music Festival is always a musical summer centerpiece, and this year’s lineup wonderfully combines known XPN favorites with new bands that concertgoers are going to fall in love with,” said WXPN General Manager Roger LaMay.

For decades, WXPN, a Triple A (Adult Album Alternative) radio station, has focused on building a community of music listeners who are always in a quest to discover new music. The radio station took this mission to heart, and serves as a bridge in connecting new music to an audience always hungry for fresh and eclectic sounds.

The XPoNential Festival was also borne out of this mission, by bringing ground-breaking acts to the live stage. The artist who truly fits the bill to headline this year's festival is none other than Beck. Alternative. Folk. Rock. Funk. Psychedelia…Beck's musicality simply just refuses to be pinned down to one particular style or genre. Beck has been raved about by fans and critics alike for his knack of creating 'music collages'. This musician, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist produces a vast layer of sounds and styles, and has been acclaimed as one of the most creative artists of our time. Two of his albums 'Odelay' and 'Sea Change', gave his career significant milestones, including a citation from Rolling Stone magazine, listing both albums in the 'Top 500 greatest albums of all time'.

Sharing the stage with Beck are Band of Horses, American southern-indie rockers who bagged a 2010 Grammy Award nomination under the Best Alternative Album category the album 'Infinite Arms'; while their single 'Laredo' placed at number 28 in Rolling Stone Magazine's top 50 songs of 2010.
