17 time Grammy-nominated hiphoper Snoop Dogg and his superstar spitting homeboy Wiz Khalifa will be blowing up BB&T Pavilion on Friday 5th August 2016 as part of their joint The High Road Summer Tour! The two big name rappers will be joined by fellow MC Kevin Gates and singer songwriter Jhene Aiko, and it's gonna be off the hook!
American rapper and actor Snoop Dogg came to the forefront of public attention in 1992 when he guest starred on Dr. Dre of NWA's debut solo album, The Chronic. The following year, he released his debut album Doggystyle, which debuted at number one on both the Billboard 200 and Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts, selling nearly one million copies in its first week of release alone and reaching 4x platinum certification by 1994. Snoop Dogg's next three albums also reached number one, furthering his popularity and securing his position as one of the most popular rappers of the time. A trip to Jamaica in 2012 signalled a departure from hiphop towards reggae, and he released a reggae album , Reincarnated, and a documentary film of the same name, under his new moniker Snoop Lion, which had been inspired by his conversion to Rastafarianism. Snoop Dogg's thirteenth solo studio album, Bush, was released in May 2015.
