American singer-songwriter, musician, actor, record producer, documentary filmmaker and a former professional surfer Jack Johnson began his music career in 1999, when he was featured on the “Song Rodeo Clowns” on G Love's album Philadelphonic. After catching the attention of Ben Harper's producer with a four-track demo, Johnson recorded his well received debut album, Brushfire Fairytales, releasing it in February 2001. To date, Johnson has released six studio albums and a soundtrack album, four of which have reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart (Sing-A-Longs and Lullabies for the Film Curious George in 2006, Sleep Through the Static in 2008, To the Sea in 2010, and From Here to Now to You in 2013), with In Between Dreams peaking at number 2 on the chart in 2005 and again in 2013. His next album is slated for release in summer 2017.
