Blues-tinged rock goddess Grace Potter brings her captivating performance to Susquehanna Bank Center on Sunday 26th July! With support from British folky blues-rock sensation George Ezra, fans can expect a night of raw, quality music that speaks to the ears, the feet and the soul!
Vermont-based festival favorites Grace Potter and the Nocturnals started life as an indie band, building their fan base through extensive touring and self-released albums. Signed to Hollywood Records in 2005, they have released four studio albums to date, with their third, eponymous, album achieving the most success both critically and commercially, peaking at number 3 in the US Rock charts. Fronted by lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Grace Potter, whose vocal stylings often draw comparison to blues rock singers like Janis Joplin, the band was originally formed in late 2002 when drummer Matt Burr saw Potter perform folk songs in a student-run venue on the campus of the university they both attended at the time.
George Ezra is a British singer-songwriter, whose blues-tinged voice landed him on numerous “Sound of…” and “Ones to Watch…” lists at the beginning of 2014, after an appearance on Glastonbury Festival's BBC Introducing Stage in the summer of 2013. His debut album, Wanted on Voyage, entered the UK Albums Chart at number 3 and by December was the third best selling album of the year, having sold 678,156 copies in the UK.
