It's sometimes shocking that old bands can go through so many changes in lineup, sound and direction, yet keep producing one excellent album after another. Deep Purple and Alice Cooper, stylistically and visually different but united in their roots and role in forming rock and roll as we know it, are the perfect examples of people who do just that. They just keep producing great music, allowing nothing to stop them, and showing no signs of slowing down!!
Deep Purple are midway through their Long Goodbye Tour, in support of their upcoming 20th (!!) album “inFinite,” due for release by earMUSIC on the 7th April this year. The first official single “Time for Bedlam,” was released in December, causing huge anticipation and excitement for their forthcoming tour. Get ready to sing along to songs you'll only just have learned along with the legendary songs known to all of us!
The original Shock Rocker, Alice Cooper, on the other hand, will be playing all the hits from his career, songs we all know and love including “Poison,” “I'm Eighteen” and “School's Out”, and touring with no less than 3 world-renowned guitarists Ryan Roxie, Tommy Henrikson and Nita Strauss along with old friends Chuck Garric and Glen Sobel on bass and drums.
